Keeping a credit card never causes you any debt, you did it to yourselves
It is not necessary to use your credit card everywhere because whatever you charge on the card are prone to bank interest and stuff but still, having a credit card sometimes can be a life saver.
1. Emergency purposes.
Sometimes bad things or accidents happen to us, worse still if it happens when we are out of cash. That's when the credit card come in handy and since you don't really use it, you still have a healthy credit limit.
2. Perks.
Some good credit cards provide nice perks at certain places or when you spend certain amounts. Let's say you have enough cash to go for a holiday, and you could get discounts on air ticket and accommodation with your credit card. By all means, take that opportunity!
Perks also include 0% monthly installment scheme, accumulating points on large transactions etc.
But don't use that reason to buy something you don't need like a new handbag.
3. Fee waiver.
Most of the time, credit cards with good perks comes with huge yearly fee and sometimes it is possible to waive the yearly fee by using the credit card a minimum number of time required by the credit card company. So use it to pay for groceries or petrol and try to get the minimum requirement as soon as possible.
I could only think of 3 reasons only. Do you guys have any?
